This is a “J.T. X interview.” Malcolm X Willis is a designer and fashion manufacturer in Downtown Los Angeles. He first arrived to the west coast from Cleveland in 2019, and worked his way through DoorDash delivery services while living at a motel in MacArthur Park to finally open up his own shop, NEW LAND LA, earlier this year. He is the founder of REFORMUSA ™️, a skate and street-inspired brand established in 2008, as well as the son and grandson of seamstresses from Lowndes County in Selma, Alabama.
